The Journey

From the range in Balewadi to the ISSF Junior World Cup

Harshawardhan Yadav started shooting at the age of eleven, in 2015, training alongside his elder brother Dhananjay at the Gun For Glory Shooting Academy for his first "First Boom" .22 pistol certification. During that first certificate distribution, Pawan Singh — then and now a senior figure in Indian shooting administration — noticed his skill and spoke to Harshawardhan's father, encouraging the family to enroll him formally at the Gagan Narang Sports Promotion Foundation. Coach Tosif Sayyed was appointed as his first coach, and under his guidance, Harshawardhan competed in his first major event the following year.
